Life & Time Management

Context

In an ever more complex environment it will happen to all of us that we feel overwhelmed by the demands and expectations. At times we might feel that our grip on situations becomes less firm  and that we lose the larger picture out of sight.

In this two day training we will use the method and techniques of Mark Foster which goes clearly beyond the common time management techniques.  We will focus primarily on life choices and priorities that are crucial for each of the participants.

Objectives

At the end of the training, participants will have:

  • A clear view on their priorities.
  • An understanding of the difference between acting based on decisions and impulse based behavior.
  • A clearer understanding of their reluctance to make choices.
  • Explored practically how to pursue their priorities and how to handle their resistance for doing so.
  • Practiced the capacity of saying ‘no’ and of expanding their circle of influence.
  • A better understanding in both traditional and more novel time management techniques.
  • Acquired the skills to put several of these techniques into practice.

Approach

  • The training offers new ways of thinking starting both from theoretical insights and from practical experiences.
  • Self-reflective exercises deepen the understanding of personal motives and challenge the participants to make choices.
  • Practical applications to situations that delicate are currently confronted with make the material significantly more realistic than just talking about concepts.
  • Group discussions contribute to team learning by exchanging best practices.
  • Commitments are made using detailed individual action plans .
